Two years ago, Noisey went to Chicago to make a documentary series called Chiraq. It focused on drill artists like Chief Keef, Lil Durk, Lil Reese and Young Chop and was controversial in its portrayal of the city. Now, we have Noisey Chicago, shot last year in the South Side of city where we revisit some of the characters from Noisey Chiraq to find out what’s happened to them since we last met. We also explore the problems and solutions that the artists and residents of Chicago are dealing with, in a city where the murder rate is out of control and its victims are getting younger and younger every year.
Features Chief Keef, Vic Mensa, Common, Lil Durk and Young Chop.
Directed by Masar. Executive Producer: @QWorldstar

Chicago’s own Cabrini Green native Tree drops his documentary trailor for his upcomig project “Trap Genius” in a quick description“This documentary is my attempt at clarifying what a trap genius is. Not one who is in the action of trapping or a victim of the trapping but one who is proficient in the wisdom and understanding of the trap. One who can adapt to and penetrate any trap!! This is not my trap! I do not know these individuals! So my understanding of the environment in general allows me to maneuver in any trap or trap-like environment.” Check it out below!
Chicago’s winter was especially brutal in 2014, yet in stark contrast, its Hip Hop scene has been on fire. On the coldest day of the year Closed Sessions assembled an all-star cast of Dally Auston, Mick Jenkins, NoName, Saba and producers OnGaud for a special session. While this group of emcees and producers have been friends and worked together in the past, this session was their first time all working together simultaneously on one song. The result is “Realer Than Most” a dope new cut from Closed Sessions Vol. 3 releasing soon via Chicago’s Closed Sessions label.
